When receiving a small package or motor freight shipment we recommend following the steps:
- Confirm box or piece count matches the waybill
- Inspect boxes for damage. Once a package or shipment has been sign for, the window for filing a claim with the shipping agent (in the case of damage or missing piece) has closed. It's best to note any concerns you have on the bill or delivery confirmation. If the delivery driver pressures you to sign, offer to sign with "pending inspection" noted on the waybill/delivery receipt.
- Let us know as soon as possible if any part of the shipment is missing or didn't arrive in the condition you expected.
